Addition by Division

One week into the general election campaign season and one thing has become abundantly clear.  Barack Obama will do anything to divide our nation.  His statements and actions are all designed for one purpose.  He plans to pit Democrat against Republican in a transparent attempt to convince more people to vote for him than for Mitt Romney.  Diabolical.

Mitt Romney is in full campaign mode and he is here to cure our ills.  He plans to release the following op-ed to all of the national newspapers this week, accusing the President of ripping our nation in two with divisive rhetoric and hyper-partisan actions.  MSRP has obtained an advanced copy:

Addition by Division

Mr. President, have you no shame?

In 2008 you were elected under the guise of being a uniter not a divider.  Instead, here we are 4 years later, and all you are doing is encouraging division in our country.

At a “campaign” stop this week, you asked the assembled “crowd” to vote for you, thereby inciting the crowd to “vote” against me.  I cannot imagine anything more divisive and counterproductive to the goal of national unity than encouraging neighbor against neighbor.

Shouldn’t a natural born “President” be focused on bringing us together for a common cause?  Shouldn’t he be uniting us around our common interests of low taxes, less regulation and more traditional gender roles for the morally challenged among us?  Instead, he is leading us down the path towards another 51%-49% election that does nothing to move this country in a new direction.  It also serves to deepen the divisions that divide us.

As the future Senator from the great state of Indiana, Richard Mourdock, said this week, “I have a mindset that says bipartisanship ought to consist of Democrats coming to the Republican point of view.”  I could not agree more.  America is tired of the petty arguments over health care, income inequity, and national defense that serve no other purpose than to drive citizens to vote for the Democrats or against Republicans.  The time has come to heal our nation, Mr. “President”.

The time has come for you to rally around my unity campaign.

Real bipartisanship means the end of partisanship in all of its ugly forms.  I challenge you, Mr. President.  If you really believe that you want to bring this nation together and heal our wounds from the endless Wars on Women, Christmas, and Bill O’Reilly , then join me in voting for me on November 6th

Ronald Reagan once said, “With great power comes great responsibility.”  For the good of the nation, stop trying to split us into Republicans and Democrats.  Withdraw and bring us together.

I’m waiting and so is America.

National unity through total and unconditional surrender.  While you may think this is silly, it makes perfect sense to Mitt Romney and his supporters.  That should scare you.
